July 26, 2009--RESOLVING CONFLICT

July 19, 2009--NO HOOPS

This message focuses on the conflict that threatened to divide the early church--Should Gentiles become Jews first before they could become Christians or not?
We examine the question: "What makes someone a Christian?" and come to the conclusion that faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour is all it takes!

July 12, 2009--THE TWO SIDES OF CHURCH LIFE

The reading from Acts 14:8-28 reminds us that the Church needs to focus on equipping its members to demonstrate the power that is at work in them on the OUTSIDE, while strengthening and encouraging them on the INSIDE.
The reading ends with Paul & Barnabas reporting on their first missionary journey to the church in Antioch. The message includes a report from our missionaries to Uruguay, Roy & Cathy Kitchen, who are home for a month at the end of their "first missionary journey".

July 05, 2009--THE "DOUBLE-DOUBLE"--GOT IT?

On this Sunday which marks the beginning of the third year of Pastor Jeeva's ministry at the Morgan's Point-Forks Road East Pastoral Charge, we take another look at II Kings 2:1-18, the passage that was the focus of his very first sermon.

This message focuses on what Elisha did with the mantle once Elijah had been taken up into heaven...and the message it conveys to us...It's not enough to Know that we've got it, but also to Show that we've got it!
