On this Mother's Day, the reading from Acts 10:1-23 focuses on Peter's reaction to the vision in which he is told to feast on unclean animals...which very well could've been something like: THAT'S NOT HOW MY MAMMA RAISED ME! But, God was preparing him to take the gospel to the "unclean" Gentiles. Peter goes beyond his initial instincts, obeys God, and the rest is history.
The message looks at examples (from the preacher's personal experience) of times when we may be called to go beyond how our "mamma" raised us as well!
