Feb. 22, 2009--THE MANDATE AND THE METHOD

Based on Acts 5:17-41, the message uses v. 41 as the springboard to isolate THE MANDATE of the church-- "To daily preach and teach Jesus as the Christ", and THE METHOD by which the early church fulfilled the mandate--"meeting in the temple and in every house".

Feb. 15, 2009--The PH Factor of Church Health (Growth)

The Scripture Reading for this Sunday is Acts 5:11-16. Coming on the heels of the deaths of Ananias and Sapphira, this passage highlights the amazing signs and wonders that characterized the life of the early church.

In looking over 5:1-16 as a whole, we are reminded that the Church kept growing because it maintained a healthy balance between POWER and HOLINESS...the PH factor.

Feb. 08, 2009--RED FLAGS

Peter addresses Ananias in Acts 5:3 with these words: "How is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?"

How could a born-again, Spirit-filled follower of Jesus like Ananias allow Satan to fill his heart? The story of Ananias and Sapphira raises RED FLAGS that all followers of Jesus must heed.
